Braised kabocha squash with soybean paste.

-1 1/2 lbs kabocha squash peel and cut by pieces.

-1 tsp soybean paste.

-2 cloves garlic minced.

-1/2 sugar.

Put olive oil ,garlic and soybean paste together into a pan over low heat, keep stirring, cook until there is a light fragrance (don’t over cook the garlic will turn bitter).

Add the kabocha into the pan and stir constantly , let the soybean paste and oil coat the kabocha evenly.

Add  one cup water and 1/2 tsp sugar into the squash and cover the lid let it simmer about 10 minutes with low heat until the squash is softer.

When all the liquid is evaporated and the squash is tender and well done, then pour the squash into a bowl.

Now the braised kabocha squash with soybean paste is ready to serves.
