About 2 1/2 lbs yam, cut the yam into 2 pieces.
Scrape out the yam (I using the coconut scraper , the soup more creamy ),or you can using the spoon, then set aside.
-8 oz shrimp and 8 oz ground pork.
Lay shrimp into a plastic bag and beat the shrimp with food hammer.
Add pepper, salt , cornstarch to the pork and shrimp and mix well.
Pour 8 cup water into the pot, when water boiling add shrimp and pork in let it cook for 2 minutes then scoop out foam from the top of the soup.
Add the yam into the soup keep stirring over medium heat until creamy.
Add a sprinkle of fish sauce, pepper, a dash of salt, and rice paddy ( Vietnamese herb ) or you can add cilantro.
Now creamy yam soup is ready to serves.
